School's Out! (6/6/09)

Logan finished his exams on May 29th. He is glad to have his Freshman year done! Now it's time to find a job. Please pray that he gets motivated to get out and find something. He does have one job working as a photographer's assistance. When he works it'll be nice, but it is not a steady job. Because he'll get called and have to go to his assignment, Logan is probably looking for lawn mowing jobs, babysitting, or dog walking. Something where he can get income, but won't be tied down when his boss calls. This summer Logan will be playing in-door soccer and in a basketball league. He'll also be going to Summer Strength at the high school.

Yesterday was the last day for Brett and Katherine. According to their report cards, they have been promoted to the 7th and 4th grades, respectively. They played with friends while I helped with the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. We finally got home around 2:00 P.M. Brett is signed up to play volleyball. Katherine is finishing her Spring soccer season and will take swimming at the high school.

Last night, Daut, Sue, and Cyrus joined us for a quick supper of spaghetti. Then Jim and the boys went with them to a indoor football game down at the Bradley Center. Katherine and I played soccer outside and tennis inside on the Wii. I actually beat her! I don't think that has ever happened before. We decided to surprise some friends in West Allis. We got there and got a surprise of our own. Micah & Jamie were there with their 3 1/2 month old son, Noah Isaac Milhans. After they left, we stayed and visited with Bette and David and their 3 year old grandson, Andrew. It was a late night. We left around 10:00 P.M. Katherine was so tired, but it was so good to see old friends! (I don't mean old!)
