Queensryche Concert (5/2/09)

Those of you who know me know that Fatime and a 80's Metal band do not mix. Lisa had tickets, but Ryan was out of town. I didn't want her to go alone. I have gone to concerts (Heart and INXS) alone before, and it's not fun. So I told her that if she couldn't find anyone else, I would go. It came down to the last half hour and the telephone rang. 'Yes, Lisa, I will go.' How does one dress for a rock concert? I showered and changed into jeans and a black shirt (seemed a safe bet!). Lisa picked me up and we went down to the Northern Lights Theater at Potawatami Casino. I have never been in a casino before. It was loud and smoky...definately not my scene! I can honestly say that it wasn't the worst concert that I have ever attended. I enjoyed people watching. The music was so loud and the speakers were so large. We went away with ringing in our ears. We both got our hearing back sometime Sunday. What an adventure!
